A Note From The Owners

Some information about Jan and I: I was born in Prague - Podoli in 1949 and lived here in the neighborhood until 1968 when the Russian army and the Warsaw Pact Armies invaded Czechoslovakia. Shortly after that, while a sophomore in college, I emigrated to West Germany and later to America.

Upon returning in 1990 we purchased this apartment, to which my parents had moved from our family house, in the mid 1970s. My old family home was condemned by the government, and torn down, since they wanted to build a "Palace of Culture" on the land where our house stood. So my parents were relocated to this apartment. It was their consolation.

Jan and I purchased the apartment to protect my parents from eviction due to privatization and rising rental cost of these government owned units. My parents lived in this apartment, for many years, and through good times and bad. We are now happy to share our home with families, for them to enjoy its incredible city views, and other amenities.
