Take a Ride on The Sazava R.R., & Float Downstream... For those on a budget, or simply wishing to participate in a truly local custom. The route from Prague is on a slow train through a scenic river valley, past villages and Summer gardens. Trains and canoing are a part of virtually every Czech childhood. Thus, it can be said that this combination is a rite of passage into the Czech culture. ProgramDeparting at 9:15am Monday mornings from Czech Inn. Transfer to Tynec nad Sazavou, where we will get outfitted and set out on the river before noon. All the necessary gear will be provided, but it is important to come prepared with a change of cloths and a pair of soft soled sneakers. The river itself is not too rapid, but it is still quite a thrill just to meander through this historic river valley. A skilled English speaking guide will come along to insure both a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Bagged lunches will be provided by Czech Inn, along with bottled water. Otherwise, there will also be opportunities along the way to stop for food and beverage (beer optional). Returning to Prague by train at 7pm.Týnec nad Sazavou Historically significant town from the 10th century, as a stronghold of the Premyslid dynasty.
