Český Ráj Natural Wilderness Area
By request (April - October) - 2890 Kč Per Person
Have You Ever Been To Czech Paradise?

If not, join us as we explore the nooks and crannies of this area beloved by Czechs since the days of Knights and Fuedal Lords. Unique in all the Czech Lands for its unusual rock formations and thick forests. Czech Paradise offers it's visitors a refreshing retreat from the heat of Summer, and in the Autumn a quiet getaway from the tourist crowds.

Program
Depart early from the center of Prague (call for time and location). Transfer by van to Turnov, where the ride begins. Set out directly on tree lined back roads towards the ruins at Trosky, where we stop for lunch. After a difficult morning of uphill climbing, the afternoon is a pleasant downhill reprieve through cool, quiet forests. Return to Prague between 6pm and 7pm.

  • Hrubá Skála

  • Castle set atop natural sandstone columns, built in the place of a medieval castle called Skala. Rebuilt in the middle of the 16th century in Renaissance style. From the castle tower, it is possible to admire one of the most spectacular views in the whole region.

  • Trosky

  • The remains of a castle built in the 14th century by the Vartemberk family. From a distance, it is one of the most characteristic silhouettes in the land. The two towers carry the legendary names Panna (virgin) and Baba (witch). There is also the "rebellious bells", constructed upside down, in the nearby village of Rovensko.

  • Skála (Rock)

  • Impressive rock formations with names such as "The Devil's Hand", Nativity Rocks" and "Goblet". Here is also the well known rock town at the village Klokoci and a rock labyrinth at the village Besedice.
