Visit the Forests of Kings & Mediaeval Hunters Forget all about your troubles for a day, and join us amidst the silence of nature in the proud Křivoklát forest. Bicycle the ancient tree lined roads and old hunting paths, where many years ago the Přemysl dynasty also enjoyed the beauty of this place. Visit a castle where notable prisoners suffered and princesses learned the privilege of the King’s Court. Depart from the center of Prague (time and place by agreement). Transfer by train to Zbečno, where the ride will start. The distance covered will be from 35 to 45Km. This is a steep and challenging terrain, requiring riders who are fit and experienced. After a tough morning ride, we will stop for a bagged lunch in Křivoklát (optional tour 80/150Kč), and map out the remainder of the day. Mostly, we will keep to quiet country roads, with an occasional off-road trail adventure. Of the many interesting places to see in the Křivoklát Natural Protected Zone, we have chosen from the following for their historic significance and timeless charm. Surrounded by a small & sleepy town, this majestic castle is one of the most famous historical monuments in the Czech Republic. Originally a wooden hunting lodge from the 12th century. Rebuilt many times in several architectural styles. During Charles IV used as the Seat of Royal Huntsmen, and later as a prison for Magister Kelly. Open for tours and exhibitions of mediaeval art and trades. This farm house is considered to be one of the oldest existing in Central Bohemia. If lucky, we may even get a taste of some freshly baked bread, right from the ancient black kitchen. 2150Kč Per Person* | $129 US Per Person* * Price includes:
